Pudding Art

An alternative to finger-painting especially for infants is pudding art.  We used regular vanilla pudding. In the past we've used other colors/flavors together such as chocolate and vanilla.  Pudding is safe for the infants because they are free to taste it.   The kids loved to feel the squishy texture, mi and swirl the colors together, make letters and create pictures in the pudding.

Our Light Table

So we made our light table today. We got the idea from recent posts on Pinterest and thought we'd try our own.  We took a clear plastic bin and spray painted the sides and bottom with silver metallic paint.

We actually only used one string of led lights.  I think we'll add another string to make it even brighter

The kids love this activity.  We went to the dollar store and got some decorative rocks that you would put in a vase.  We also added translucent shapes.

Colored Rice

Here's an easy sensory table we created for our 2 and 3 year old friends... colored rice. We used white rice, added a little rubbing alcohol.

Add drops of food coloring.  You can either mix it up in a bowl or put it in a Ziploc bag and shake. I recommend a Ziploc bag if you are creating this with the little ones.

Instant rice sensory table.  Add measuring cups, shovels, farm animals or any items from your weekly theme.

Welcome!
