Sensory Bottles

Sensory Bottles are inexpensive materials to make. Many of the materials can be purchased at the dollar store or a local craft store. 

These awesome water bottles were purchased at Tops supermarket.  They come in 20 oz sizes or a six pack of 16 oz bottles.

 Packing Pellets from Hobby Lobby!


  We put some packing pellets then placed some numbers found at the dollar store and then finished filling the bottle to about 3/4 of the way so that the materials inside will have room to move. We are also going to make one using letters for our ABC area!

Hair gel from the dollar store.

Mixing hair gel and water creates an awesome suspension effect.  I actually put more hair gel than water in the first bottle I made.  It doesn't move around as much when you shake it but it looks cool to the kiddies!

Snowflakes and animal buttons.  The  glitter actually turned the water pink.

We keep the tops secure by hot gluing them on. Works great for hours of fun.

                                                                   
                                                               
                   Squishy bags

We made squishy bags for the infants and toddlers.  This is simply a Ziploc bag filled with hair gel, foam letters and sequin.  We reinforced the top of the bag with packing taped.
